about

This is a song that I've always loved. I wrote this song back in 2005 during my Broken Avenue days as well. I have intentions of re-recording it as a full band song again with more vocals and some minor guitar changes. Until then, enjoy this updated acoustic version.

lyrics

Mixed up thoughts and contradictions
It's time that you and I have a talk
I drank down most of my frustrations
Let's go for a stroll on the sidewalk
I've smoked out all of my temptations
It's time that you finally hear the truth
I gave up on your deceptions
'Cause my heart ain't bullet proof

Blind sighted but I'm still looking
Heart broken but I'm still trying
Out of words but I'm still talking
Broken wings but I'm still searching

A slip of the tongue, a roll of the dice
You've done it once, I'm sure you'll do it twice
Open your eyes and realize
You only live once so please don't lie to me
Please don't lie to me

Take back what you said (Blind sighted but I'm still looking)
All these thoughts that were in your head (Heart broken but I'm still trying)
If true love really feels like this (Out of words but I'm still talking)
Then I don't really want to give a shit (Broken wings but I'm still searching)
