I know just what I have and what it is I'm missing I don't need your books for false sense of living I know all I know by seeing and just hearing I hear all the lies, I see the truth, I'm crying Nowhere is where I go to escape my dreaming I can't sleep at night not knowing if you're smiling It brings pain inside, knowing that we're dying I did all I could but gave up on trying This is the story of us and how we failed This is the story of us and how we tried This is the story of us and where we went wrong This is the story of us and how we died I tried day and night until the nights got daily Those daily nights inside my head were so aching Just like a bullet that hit my chest, I'm bleeding I'm lying in your arms while you're lying to me This is the story of us and how we failed This is the story of us and how we tried This is the story of us and where we went wrong This is the story of us and how we died

There you go and baby here am I Well you left me here so I can sit and cry Well golly gee what have you done to me Well I guess it doesn't matter anymore Do you remember baby last September How you held me tight each and every night Well whoopsy daisy how you drove me crazy Well I guess it doesn't matter any more There's no use in real crying I've done everything And now I'm sick of trying I've thrown away my nights And wasted all my days over you Now you go your way and I'll go mine Now and forever 'till the end of time I'll find somebody new and baby We'll say we're through And you won't matter any more There's no use in real crying I've done everything And now I'm sick of trying I've thrown away my nights And wasted all my days over you Now you go your way and I'll go mine Now and forever 'till the end of time And I'll find somebody new and baby We'll say we're through And you won't matter anymore I said you won't matter anymore No you won't matter anymore

Everyday I wake up with the feeling That you will come along Everything that is so appealing Is never what I want I thought that you and I were great But then you turned your back away It's like a knife at a gunfight I was unprepared that night People change and so do days Bad times they come but yet they go I'm so afraid of what you'll say Your words are just as cold as snow You stabbed me once, you'll do it twice I'm tired of my friend's advice Remember spring two thousand nine When you were always on my mind I drive around this lonely town When all these city lights go down And I will find myself again Someway, somehow And I'd take you where you wanna go And I'd take you to your favorite show Just hold my hand my love And don't ever let it go Now give me one good reason Why you're scared, why you're fleeing I had these arms opened for you But they closed last season I thought that we would see it all From Vegas to the Taj Mahal But now all we'll ever be Is just a faded memory So long Is just goodbye without the meaning inside And you swear That you don't care about him anymore But you lied I was a game to you this entire time Now this is goodbye And you won't see me anymore I guess it's goodbye I guess it's goodbye I guess it's goodbye And I'll see you around

It's A Shame 01:41
Everybody, everybody wants to play this game And everybody wants to win, nobody likes to lose It's a shame, it's a shame, it's a goddamn shame All the things we do, the friends we lose, this life we choose Everybody, everybody won't you stand up tonight Sing it loud, shout it out, let's live until we die It's a shame, it's a shame, it's a goddamn shame These city lights are bright but yet this city sleeps tonight Every night, every night is a struggle in my life Nine to five, five to nine, I work until I die It's a shame, it's a shame, it's a goddamn shame All our friends that moved, and all the ones who lost their name Every night, every night we walk among these streets But in sunlight, we play underneath our feet It's a shame, it's a shame, it's a goddamn shame All these kids at home, and all the ones who sleep alone

Growing Up 02:27
Here I go, down this lonely road again My friend, I need you more than ever before This dust will settle, on everything we used to know So here I go, this is my passing glance, one last chance to say goodbye Now say hello, to all the things you don't know Where'd you go? You left me alone out in the cold So here I stand, afraid to move forward again But I'll be fine, I'll give one last try one day at a time So here's goodbye to everything we once had Hello to the present, so long to the past This life I am living is moving way too fast I'm stuck on this one track I can't seem to get back And everything that's happening to me is part of growing up I'm growing up
6.
I saw you standing there I knew right away I had to know your name 'Cause I will not play these games, I want you When I call you dear I just want it to be known very clear That you are all I want When it's all said and over And we've lost our four leaf clover We'll go home When it's all said and over And we've only got each other We'll go home When I'm standing here I will tell you everything that you ever Wanted me to say I saw you shed a tear Come on girl, won't you please wipe your eye 'Cause you're way to beautiful, don't cry When it's all said and over And we've lost our four leaf clover We'll go home When it's all said and over And we've only got each other We'll go home
7.
Everybody knows that we don't play no games Though our fists are kinda tough, our hearts are kinda tame And we live, and we learn, and we play, and we work Until the day we die, until I'm in that dirt I will love, and I'll laugh, and I won't give it back All those good times that we'll have, and don't forget the past We were just these little kids with our hearts there on our sleeve And our father wasn't home so we walked all of these streets Oh yes we did... And I've got your back every time you come around And you've got my back every time I hit the ground And I've got your back every time you need a friend And you've got my back until the very end Now everybody says that we're no good for each other But don't nobody know me like you do my brother We can sit and tell these stories of our sister and our mother We can act like we don't like them but we don't got us another And we can't forget our lovers and that man we call our father Though he wasn't always there he taught us like no other Now I have all of my family and I can't forget my friends Because without either one of you my life would be quite over Yes it would... And I've got your back every time you come around And you've got my back every time I hit the ground And I've got your back every time you need a friend And you've got my back until the very end Now that everything is dead it's time to start our lives all over Now that summer's coming to an end and autumn's on our shoulders You were everything I needed in the past and in the present You will always be my friend I will not take that shit for granted No I won't... And I've got your back every time you come around And you've got my back every time I hit the ground And I've got your back every time you need a friend And you've got my back until the very end
